sickness and disease

Who is responsible for?

Recap of yesterday's Bible Study: Who is responsible for?

-Infirmities -sickness -Child birth deformities -Untimely death -Death -Weakness -Poverty -Broken home

AND- Why does God allow it? Or does He? Answer/Explanation:

1

Sin entered the world when Adam sinned, and because of his disobedience all were condemned. Everyone died from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, suffering the curse/punishment/payment for sin- which is death. Adam, Abel, Job, Noah, Abraham, Issac, Jacob, the 12 tribes & Joseph all suffered the condemnation that Adam handed down through generational curse(blood), even though they never disobeyed an explicit command of God. There was no Law to break, there was no knowledge of sin, yet everyone of these God chosen, good behaved believers were condemned and died- because of the Sin that came in to the world because of Adam's disobedience.

2

God created humankind in His image. Without sickness, disease, birth defects, weaknesses, poverty or death. We were made in God's image with freewill, power, dominion and never ending life.

3

Mankind's(Adam) disobedience brought Sin into the world, which caused death, disease, pain, envy, strife, hate, birth defects, poverty, broken homes and unbelief.

4

If you feel the need to hold someone accountable for so much bad and misfortunes in life- the culprit is Adam(humankind), he brought the poison of Sin into the world, Not God. God was who made us in His image and empowered us with dominion over all things. We were the one who chose weakness with our God given freewill and "fell for it"- unbelief.

5

Jesus Christ died on the cross to restore to us the glory we once had before Sin entered the world. He went through hell to purchase that for us. He gave up His life to redeem and re conciliate us with God. We are born again, not of flesh and blood(Adam), but of the power of the Spirit of God Himself.

6 God turned it all around, Christ is the new Adam.

CHRISTIANS SHOULD NOT BE SICK or SUFFER FROM ANY DISEASE OR INFIRMITY. CHRISTIANS WERE NOT BORN AGAIN TO REMAIN POOR OR SICK. So why are you sick/poor?- How can you believe you're healed unless you are 100% convinced by the Word that indeed God says you are? Faith comes from hearing and hearing the word of Christ, it's how God heals and performs miracles these days -"after the cross."

Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Galatians 3:5 Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?—

7

When the KNOWLEDGE of the Word of Truth outweighs your knowledge of Law/Legalism and religion, then you will believe without seeing and you'll understand that you've been healthy all along. You can't force yourself to believe(that's church talk). Faith is a gift that is enabled by hearing the Truth, which is a renewal of the mind.

Romans 10:14 But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?

1 Timothy 2:3-4 3 This is good and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.

How can you fully enjoy of your salvation, if you don't understand what it means? It's good and pleasing to God for you to understand, for many reasons.

Romans 5:12-21 12 When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned. 13 Yes, people sinned even before the law was given. But it was not counted as sin because there was not yet any law to break. 14 Still, everyone died—from the time of Adam to the time of Moses—even those who did not disobey an explicit commandment of God, as Adam did. Now Adam is a symbol, a representation of Christ, who was yet to come. 15 But there is a great difference between Adam’s sin and God’s gracious gift. For the sin of this one man, Adam, brought death to many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of forgiveness to many through this other man, Jesus Christ. 16 And the result of God’s gracious gift is very different from the result of that one man’s sin. For Adam’s sin led to condemnation, but God’s free gift leads to our being made right with God, even though we are guilty of many sins. 17 For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ. 18 Yes, Adam’s one sin brings condemnation for everyone, but Christ’s one act of righteousness brings a right relationship with God and new life for everyone. 19 Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many will be made righteous. 20 God’s law was given so that all people could see how sinful they were. But as people sinned more and more, God’s wonderful grace became more abundant. 21 So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now God’s wonderful grace rules instead, giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
