* God desires for all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the Truth. But what does man desire? The Lord taught His disciples (and us in retrospect) about the unseen condition of man's heart. This information helps us understand why the renewing of the mind is the entry point to the heart. Knowledge of the Truth is what sets us free, and the renewal of the mind by the word is what transforms us. By it, we come to know the good, acceptable, perfect will of God. Ignorance of the Truth gives a false sense of freedom, enslaving the vulnerable to the will and mercy of deceitful men.
Matthew 15:19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.
Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
John 8:30-32 The Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall make you free."
2 Timothy 3:12-14 Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. But evil men and imposters will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them,
* Anyone who sets themselves above the Truth and knowledge of the word is being or has been deceived. The Lord through Paul warned His flock against the coming deception, teaching the church to seek and remain in the Truth.
Galatians 1:8-10 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ.

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.
