Truth & Grace Humble the Proud - Setting them Free

James 2:10 (AMP)

For whosoever keeps the Law [as a] whole but stumbles and offends in one [single instance] has become guilty of [breaking] all of it.

James 2:10 (NIV)

For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.

(my comment)

the "one point" where most stumble and break the Law, is where we are to love our neighbor as ourself, not showing partiality. Humility at it's core. No one is "good," not one! - Only God is good.

James 2:8-9

If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself," you do well; but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors.

Romans 3:9-20

What then? Are we better than they? Not at all. For we have previously charged both Jews and Greeks that they are all under sin. As it is written:

"there is none righteous, no, not one; There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God. They all have turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; there is none who does good, no, not one." " their throat is an open tomb; With their tounges they have practiced deceit"; The poison of asps in under their lips"; Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness." Their feet are swift to shed blood; Destruction and misery are in their ways; And the way of peace they have not known." " There is no fear of God before their eyes."

Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Romans 3:21-24

But now the* righteousness of God* apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; for all have sinned and all fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,...

*(My comment)

Only when the righteousness of God is revealed to us by the Holy Spirit through the gospel of Christ Jesus, can we really live in rest, peace and harmony with each other. It's all about knowing Christ Jesus our Lord and how God makes us right with Himself through Faith. Correct focus leads to correct living before God.*

Philippians 3:8-11

Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ my Lord. For His sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ and become one with Him. I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ. For God's way of making us right with himself depends on faith. I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with Him, sharing in His death, so that one way or another I will experience the resurrection from the dead!
